I had a shock mount break on one of my rear TerraFirrma shocks out on a trail near Monument Valley last month.
I replaced them I replaced them with Fox 2.0’s. I like that the Fox mount is machined into the body and not welded.
Time will tell if it was the right decision. So far the ride does seem better. Not as harsh as the TF shocks. The TF’s were on the Disco when I bought it a little over two years ago.
My blower motor switch was intermittent and stuck between the 3 and 4 setting. I pulled it out, quite the ordeal, and opened it up. I found the selector had melted and a large blob of melted plastic was keeping it from
sliding. 30 seconds and a grinding wheel had it back flat. The connector on the harness is a bit cooked as well.
I then soaked the copper terminals in a bath od vinegar and salt for about five minutes. I then rinsed it and coated it with dielectric grease.
I’ll put it back in along with the center dash tomorrow. When I bought this Disco, someone had busted the dash to get the radio out. I found all but two pieces of the dash and glued them back in. It will be nice to have the radio not falling out as I go up a hill.

That washer looks like it's on backwards, which is a common cause of broken shocks. The convex side should face the shock, so it's touching near the bolt, not the ring around the rubber bush - that way the shock can move oit all directions.
You are correct it is on backwards. It was the correct way when I removed the shock mount. The plastic boot was still on the eye. I just replaced it wrong in my “trail fix” after removing it from the plastic dust boot. Shock boot with mount
