Default Steering Issues 2004 Disco 2

So, tonight I was driving home in my 2004 Discovery 2 and when I was making a sharp turn I heard a whining noise coming from the front end and the steering wheel began to vibrate. This has never happened before, but now whenever I turn the wheel it starts again. Initially, when I turn the wheel the noise and vibrations begin, but when I stop turning they stop; even if the car is moving forward and turning. If I am parked and just turn the wheel, the vibrations and noise occurs again. I checked the power steering fluid. It is fine. Nothing is coming in contact with the front wheels when I turn (all the plastic trim is in place etc) I'm not sure what it could be. Any sugestions or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Have someone else turn the wheel while you look under the hood. Verify where the vibration is coming from. It could be the Steering Pump is jumping around, (broken mount, bad pump), or maybe the linkage is messed up somewhere, or maybe the belt starts jumping with the extra load, (bad idler, bad belt, bad rover).
