Does anyone know whether a 04 Discovery steering pump is compatible with an 00 Discovery? Found a low mileage one from an 04 and I need to change out my noisy one from my 00.

 

Call Rover and ask if they are the same part number.
What is wrong with yours, are you changing the hoses out at the same time?

 

do you think i should do the hoses as well? are there any better hoses available worth switching to?

 

sorry my pump makes a vibrating whinning noise around 1000-1700 RPM basically most of the time with my daily driving. There nothing else wrong with it but I spend a good deal of time driving around and its getting on my nerves!

How many miles on your truck? If you are pushing 100,000 miles, I would change out the hoses also cause they will start leaking.
