Steering shaft coupling worn? (Video)
#11
'94 D1 wobble was fixed after renewing radius arm and pan hard rod bushings. Moog bushings and my mechanic let me use his press. Videos by Bearmach Trailfitter were helpful. The work is not difficult with good tools, not expensive, and doesn't require a lift.
Front hubs also need to be adjusted well with bearing pre-loads to spec both for the wheel bearings and pivots. Careful wheel alignment is also important. Before condition, the steering wheel would wobble a lot going over a train crossing (30 - 40 mph), now it's solid with very little feedback at the steering wheel.
