HAve recently bought a C reg Landrover Country and have installed a reconditioned steering box after finding quite a substancial leak, this leaves only one remaining issue with 'Play in my steering'... Ive checked all the steering joints and found no play in any of them!!I've been told that play can be adjusted but have been unable to find any refference to this in the manual..

Can anyone shed any light on this? is it possible to do this?? if so can someone give me a clue??

Have you tried adjusting the steering box? You can do this on the top of it. Look for the screw and jam nut combination on top of the steering box. Loosen the jamnut and screw in the adjustment screw until you feel resistence in the steering wheel back and forth. Then turn it back about 1/8th to a 1/4 of a turn. Tighten jam nut and test drive.
