My old steering shaft did Not want to come off.
Ok, no problem, I got tired of fighting it....so I sawzalled it in half, popped the joint off the box shaft with a prybar, and a couple taps with a hammer, and the column side joint fell off the shaft.
Wire brushed both the column and box shafts, and the new shaft went on easily.
