Default stereo install

I am installing a jvc KR200 radio into my 96 discovery and i finally have the money to buy the harnesses. I am buying from crutchfield but not exactly sure what I need off of that site. I want to include the amp not bypass it and my headunit only has 1 set of rca plugs so can someone link me to eachthing i need? i realize this may come off as being lazy but im not, i just dont know what to get. thank you

you can crutchfield they will walk you thru the process. you need some adapter that kills the power from the stereo you bought because the amp in there is not like an aftermarket amp that is boosting it was the only power source for the stock stereo if i'm not mistaken.

the part number should be 120701787
if they dont list it then the metra part number is 70-1786 (there website does not list this harness but they should know what you are talking about)

the LOC is:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SLC4...onverter&ssi=0

you will wire your JVC harness to the LOC then use rca's to connect to the metra harness.

you will also need the european antenna adapter.

yes actually it is a "European" standard ISO connector. It was commonly used in Audi, VW(Porsche), Mercedes, Land Rovers, and quite a few others. BMW used the same style but it was a little different (thicker pins). Think of it like the OBD II data port, it is a standard plug on all vehicles, unfortunately many European auto manufacturers don't use the ISO connectors for the audio systems any more, guess they figured out they could make more money if you could only plug there own factory radios in.
