Default still sloshing on start up

95 disco, 130k. had head gaskets, thermostat, hoses, etc. replaced.had huge air lock, followed posts regarding how to get them out, it burped a bunch. still sounds like a slight rush of coolant from heater core on start up. has not over heated. how long should i smell antifreese burning off? and is it possible my heads are warped and they didn't check? when i check the reservoir tank for coolant i smell fuel. now this truck had a blown head gasket for a lot of miles but never overheated. so any help would be appreciated.

The fact that your still having issues is of definite concern. And when you check your resevoir your smelling fuel is really a bad sign. Your going to need to do a compression test on your cylinders and then a coolant presssure test. It is possible that the heads are still warped and the problem was never really fixed or they were'nt installed correctly. If your still smelling antifreeze burn off then something is really wrong. I would recommend not driving it until the aforementioned test are conducted or you'll destroy your cats. Were the heads replaced and/or machined? Pop your oil cap and look underneath it. Is there any goo? That's the quickestt way to tell if something is wrong.

I would first look at a coolant pressure test and a chemical block test, that will tell all real fast.

For the pressure test you'll have to go to sears or similar and purchase a coolant pressure tester. Just follow the instructions from there.

Or go by a radiator shop or small Rover shop, they can do it.
