Still Spongy.
Mike,
I replaced the 4 brake hoses at the wheels with stainless steel reinforced hoses. Where are the other 2 hoses located, and where can you get those 2 hoses in stainless steel? Is there a special name for those other 2 hoses, that ID them as different from the wheel hoses?

I recently did the abs fix and my brakes were spongy. The solution which worked for me was, first bleed at the module, than bleed all your brakes. Great time to do a full brake fluid flush. Pedal is firm and brakes work great!
Replaced all 4 brake pads and bled all 4. Now I have a soft pedal and even softer pedal when engine is running also noticed the engine idle changes after pumping the brakes and a sound of air and fluid running through 2 pipes connected to black Box label BOS CH. Can someone with more knowledge please help thank you in advance.

Hey, I just got mine back up and going today with the help of mollusc. I changed out my abs modulator and could not get pedal. I bled the front line going into the modulator then bled each wheel per the rave which I still think is backward or a misprint. Took the truck around the block in low with hill descent on and sped her up then let off to work the pump. A half dozen times. Then bled the wheels again in the right order. RR, LR, RF, LF. Good to go. I don't mean ok good. I mean throw you through the windshield good. Just have patience. It takes awhile to get pedal.
I am having a similar problem on 97 Disco I.....very spongy brakes after replacing master reservoir, bled brakes 3 times already and it only seems to get worse. Did it both methods, one with helper pumping pedal and solo method with suction tool. What is this "hill descent", I don't seem to have that feature. Also mine will not go into 4 low. Advice needed.
