Default storage over the summer & fall

I use my disco 2 in the winter months in florida. I just finished putting a complete braking system on. What should I put on the rotors/calipers when in
storage to keep it from seizing up while it sits idle? Outdoors under a cover.

Personally I wouldn’t put anything on them. You probably put some sort of high heat lube on the calliper pins the last time you replaced the pads. I think that should suffice.

The brake lines had corroded to the point of bursting which necessitated the full brake job. The rotors/calipers/pads were likely original and were shot to hell. I may put the rig up
on jackstands, take the wheels off and ziplock bag the calipers, rotors and pad and keep the wheels indoors. PITA...but going thru another brake job was VERY time intensive.

Pulling the calipers will be a sure fire solution. You can spray them with fluid film. You will need to degrease before putting them back together. You could spray them without removing them, but that might contaminate the pads. I had bad experiences with my race bikes getting the pads contaminated and glazing.
