TRIAR -
Seriously, the rubber tubing over the lines thing is a bad idea. If water gets in there (and it will) then you've just screwed yourself. That absolutely WILL make the lines rust out faster. Not trying to be a dick, but it's going to happen.

Its hard to explain it over the forum. But I will try to explain in detail for clarification:

The idea is to enclose the ACE tubing within larger clear rubber/plastic tubing, then carefully using a lighter melt the opening of the clear tubing so that it melts together and seals up thus preventing anything from getting inside and rusting the ACE lines. The reason for using clear lines is so you can still visually inspect the lines for any leaks down the road should they get damaged. You basically make a long clean cut from one end of the clear piping all the way to the other end, open it up and insert the ACE piping, then seal it back up. Add waxoil every year or two and you have a pretty weather resistant system.

It's very obvious you're very new to maintaining vehicles, so I won't laugh.
You really need to get a few years behind you doing it if you don't want some very expensive lessons.

Tom, when you were starting out, did you listen to advice like that? (I didn't either)

Are you being serious right now? I cant tell because of how stupid that even sounds. I guess I am missing the whole point of why you even want an ACE system? A Land Rover is a big tall SUV, not a sports car, so why would you want to fly around corners in it anyways? Instead of trading your Disco, why dont you just lift it and actually do something cool with it, maybe even something it was designed to do; for example, actually taking it on a trail instead of bragging about it being a trail edition while worrying about getting curb rash at the Mcdonalds drive thru. I am not trying to be a dick, but what you are wanting to do makes no sense, in anyway. The ACE system really is not that cool, even if you do find one thats in perfect working order. Definitely not worth trading the truck that you obviously are in love with for some other POS just because of a useless system that will give you nothing but headaches later on.
