Default Strange noise

Whenever I turn sharply or stop and am turning I hear a loud squeakingor squealing sound almost like brakes but I do not have to be pressing the brakes when this happens. Any tips? I just had every single fluid in the truck replaced about a month ago and it is a 2003 discovery. Any thoughts? It did squeak whenI took it in though. Thanks.

Seeing you had the fluids checked, did they check the belt?

How many miles on your truck?
Could be the brakes dragging or worse yet your front drive shaft u-joints failing. Check and see if you have grease fitting on all 3 of your front drive shafts u-joints?

If it is an 03, and you have never replaced those 2 u-joints, I would suggest you have a shop look at it and replace the joints.
By the way, u_joints must be lubed every 12,000 miles.

No,
But I have been told that Rover is now selling a replacement shaft for the 03's and 04's that do in fact have grease fitting, just a few years late.

Not to sound like a dummy but if I were looking under my truck where exactly are the U Joints? and what do you think it would run to replace them? Thanks for all the help.

Crawl under your drivers door, look up at the 3" round "pipe" that goes from the TC to the front of the vehicle. That is the drive shaft. On both end you'll see joints. U joints to be exact, the look like CV joints.

See the pictures, I circled the u joints in the 2nd pic'.
