Default stuck on side of road and need help asap!!!!!!!!

Heading home from a trip and my gear indicator switched from D to a flashing symbol. Pulled over and it wont come out of park. Brake lights work so its not the break sensor. Also checked fuse and it was fine. I beloved the problem is the park neutral switch. If so is there anyway to bypass? Please call with suggestions 704-267-4470

Default update

I made it home but don't know how. I check all fuses, and opened the the shifter cover and there was some trash in the area. Once removed the blinking gear indicator remained. I was able to get it into gear and make it home. Really don't know how. After a couple miles the gear indicator cleared. Any ideas? Maybe a loose wire?

I do not know, see if you can replicate the issue and get back to us. At least you made it home though.

Very well could have been the trash in the gear shift, could also be a weak battery.

Dido on the weak battery. I have read on previous posts that the M & S green lights flash on the instrument cluster.

The M&S lights flash because the transmission ecu is the first to lose power when voltage is low.

I have a new battery but I have noticed that when I press the brakes the interior lights are very dim. Also the horn is extremely weak. Think the alternator might be going out?
