Default Stupid question of the day. Rear wiper replacement

The ladder is preventing me from pulling the wiper arm away enough to replace the blade. Tried the key off mid stroke but they retain power lol

What's the trick

It's that hard to remove???? Take the nut off the arm and remove the whole arm? maybe?
I added Disco 1 wiper arms all around so I really can't comment.

Yes; you need to take the tire off....

also read my my post about proper Disco2 rear wiper blade replacement .... you will never find the right one if you don’t.

I have oversize tyres, including on the spare mount. I don't have to take it off to get the rear wiper blade off. It's a little tighter than with the stock tyre but it can be done.
Lift the arm away from the window and push the blade towards the window as well and towards the arm pivot point at the same time.
