Sorry, new guy here. I probably misread the thread. Should I put that wire back into the connector? Does having it disconnected do any harm? We don't have access to a Hawkeye or Nanocom.

I wouldn't mess with the wires. I'd find access to a Hawkeye or Nanocom.
