i got the +2" HD Terrafirma kit with a TF steering damper from Justin and it was a damn good price, no extended brake lines or abs lines needed but i do reccomend if you get the HD +2 getting rid of your sway bars as the pressure they place on the shocks really limits travel

IMHO, if you're going to fork over the cash regardless, might as well go for a lift. Against the worn out stock suspension, my OME + TF Steering Damper feels MUCH more solid and secure on the highway, this includes a couple trips over Snoqualmie Pass. I have not noticed a change in the "wind surfing" characteristics either.

I hear ya. But I've had three guys (including DarylJ, here) tell me that if I don't need lift, don't do it.

So, that's what I'm trying to balance: "You have to pay anyway, so why not a lift?" vs. "If you don't need a lift, don't do it!"

I'm getting bigger tires, regardless.

Who cares about what you NEED....it's about what you WANT!

With you wanting bigger tires, go for the lift. I have the TF 2" med lift with the matching longer shocks. The ride is perfect, truck feels stable. You can never have too much clearance underneath.

How about fitting it in the garage? With the 2" TF lift can you still squeeze it under the garage door? I'm on stock suspension, but the last time I checked it looked like only 1-2" clearance from the door to the top of the truck.

Ed - The roof rack, which I consider a must for my user profile, will make the garage a moot point.
