Swapping Seats?
Just a random thought -- has anyone swapped out the D2 seats for others? Aftermarket or from a different manufacturer? I actually find the D2 seats fairly comfortable right out of the box but I'm more of a manual seat kinda guy -- I do know some D2's came with manual seats but they are hard to find.
As George McFly would say -- "if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything"
Figured as much. I know @The Deputy has extended / moved the seat rails before
I do love me some Recaros!

I took a set of D2 seats and put them in my Silverado. I love the D2 seats. Dunno about manual seats. D1 seats maybe? OR just the frames?
The way I did it in my Silverado was to cut the seats off their frames and weld the seat to the Silverado seat frame.

Did this. You can swap just the lower seat cushions, requires removing both seats out of the vehicle and dismantling the seats. Not a fun job, and I'm not sure it was worth it to be honest. My "new" passenger seat donor has a goofy feel to it, it's gotten better over the last couple years though.
