Default Sway bar disconnects

I have a 2" suspension lift. I want to keep both sway bars on my D2 for highway driving and have disconnects for off roading. Replacing all four links with disconnects is kind of pricey, though. Couldn't I just put disconnects on the right side of the truck and a pair of standard front-length disconnects on the left side? It seems to me that's all it would take to remove most of the sway bars' limitation on suspension travel.

Use the disconnect on the front and remove the rear completely. Unless you are using the vehicle for towing: you will most likely not notice the difference without the rear bar.

For a pure off road D2 sure removing em is fine. However a daily driver I highly suggest leaving the rear sway bay in place. Sure you won't notice it under normal driving conditions, but in the event you have to avoid something or steer sharply you'll be in for a surprise.

You can modify some Jeep TJ front disconnects to fit the front. I did it on one D2 I owned and they worked great. I used some JKS quick disconnects I had laying around from my Jeep days.

How did you have to modify the TJ disconnects?

Check out the link in my signature. I modified my factory links to have disconnects like three years ago. Cost was like $5 or something. I've had no issues out of them.

I second removing the rear sway. Completely useless, even at speed on the interstate.

All I had to do for the Jeep disconnects was drill out the D2 sway bar holes by just a size up. Or you could just use smaller bolts, but I just went with drilling out the holes.

I think I have the L8 disconnects. Cheap as you'd need them to be lol less than $100 shipped I think

As for the back, I run panhard conversion with no sway bar.

Things aren't too bad when driving considering how much lift I have. I will confirm this, if that panhard weld gives lol you can't steer it at all

So if you have a concern on your watt's busting or panhard weld snapping, then you should have some warrant for concern.

But to me, $100 gets it done
