Default Tail Gate Door

Okay, Now does anyone here know how to get a rear tail gate door open. I have not been able to get my rear door open at all for the last month. It sucks because i use it for everything. I tried to bend the handle upward like a few people told me and even had a friend who said to try that do it with no luck. Any one have any ideas on this. Wont open from inside or out and locks and unlocks fine. Thanks...

Not a big problem, kinda of a normal Rover thing.
Pull the Rover emblym off the rear door on the outside, and spray the handle parts with some WD40 ot other lube, you should then be fine.

Tried that didn't work... It does sound like anything is engaging when you move the handle both inside and out.

I had to change the lock once but I was lucky enough to be able to open the door before that. If you can get your hands on a schematic or maybe feel your way through from the back you night be able to do it. This is only a guess, so please bare with me. If you can pull back enough of the cover to get your hand in you might be able to get back there to pull the latch from inside. If you need any parts I have a 96 DI I am parting out. Hope this helps.
