Default Tail light out - intermittent

2001 LR Series II. One of my upper Rear tail lights on driver side will not light up when i turn on the lights. the one on the right in the picture. (It is lit in the picture.) When it is unlit, a simple tap on the light or plastic tail light assembly will get it to light right up. I have changed the bulb and sprayed electrical cleaner in the socket. No difference. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If a tap gets it to light up => usually means that you have not cleaned the contacts well enough or they are not touching appropriately. Try fine emery cloth on bulbs and socket (pos and neg contacts), and clean the plug and plug socket contacts too......
