Default tail lights...again

well i posted earlier my tail lights, running lights, dash lights did not work when i turned my lights on or when they were off, only my top center brake light came on. well after a new headlight switch the running lights and dash lights come on but still no tail lights, they worked since i bought it and im stuck on what it can be. Fuse and bulbs are good, breaklight switch under the pedal maybe?? any help is appreciated.

take the cover off your steering column behind your steering wheel look at the plug for the stalk switch that works your lights. Is the plug burned or melted? If so your going to need a switch.

good news, my brake lights started workin again all of the sudden, i went hog hunting last nite in the swamp and it was pretty rough and a little muddy and for some reason on the way out my buddy said my lights were workin and they still are so i guess there must be somethin loose somewhere. New problem though, my fron window rolled down and now it wont roll back up, like it got off track or something, motor still turns it sounds like, im gonna take to a window place and hope its nothin too serious. thanks for the help

I'm new to site hope this is how its done....Regarding Tail light subject, my rt side tail lights upper and lower out, bulbs fuses ok, brake lights and turn signals all work but dash lights only light up when brakes are applied. The switch you referred to, "1996 disco 1", behind cover I'm concerned about air bag deployment? Do you have to remove steering wheel to access switch?

Another thing to check is the relay for the trailer wiring. If memory serve it’s on the drivers side below the tail lamp of its a LR accessory. Two decades ago I was in Houston for a wedding when tropical storm allison hit. Flooding was so bad that I had my disco buried to the tops of the fender wells several times getting the wedding party back to the hotel. A week later all my taillights went out. It turned out that water had gotten into that relay and fried it.
