Default Tailpipe interface

Investigated some rattling underneath and found that the Tailpipe to Y-pipe flange is loose and rattling around. Looks like the 2 bolts just rusted away and let the interface get loose (they are still holding the 2 pieces together though). Should I just cut whats left of the 2 rusty bolts out and replace/tighten up to fix? Anyone run into similar issue?

Make sure both ends of the bolts are free. From what I remember of the stock exhaust, they're pressed in. I believe mine had to be heated to be removed. Been a long time though.

these things are so rusty its hard to believe. Thanks I'm sure its going to take a lot of wrangling to get whats left of them out of the mating surface holes, sawzall, drilling etc.
