I've GOT to do this soon. I wish I had another jack. Did you use anything other than your single bottle jack and a couple jack stands? How tall are your jack stands also? Then, just maybe, I can get my poor-man's lift write up done and posted.

I think I did it about as 'poor man' as it gets.

I had a 2 1/4 ton trolley Jack ($60 AZ) on a single wheel ramp, to get the height. I sat on the other ramp. Bottle Jack is needed separately to move stuff around.

Plus Jack stands when it's at height. I didn't lower it onto the Jack stands, just added them in, and wedged up tight. It's touch and go whether it gets high enough with this set up. Not sure of Jack stands height. Cheap ones though. So not huge.

I did one corner at a time. Didn't bother trying to get both fronts, then rears off the ground.

Real basic tools. Wrenches and a pipe as an extension. Hammer. Socket set. Seemed to fill the drive with gear, but that's about all I actually used.

Probably 6 hours solid. I took two days, and drank a fair bit of tea, and 'looked at the job' a fair bit.

Two skinned knuckles and a sore shoulder. But it's done.

Oh definitely invest in a 13mm ratchet wrench. Socket set doesn't fit in between the coils for undoing the front shock tower bolts.
