Default Terrafirma MD

I finally got around to installing my Terrafirma MD kit w/ their +2" shocks.

Measurements (from center of hub to wheel arch) as follows:

Front: 21.5"

Rear: 20.5"

Looks like I need to add 1" spacers in the rear. Wasn't expecting that.

If anything, I'd expect the front to be lower w/ the ARB bull/winch bumper.

I dont get it. Theres no loads in the rear cargo area that would stress the suspension 1".
Thoughts?

Something that has been bugging me.

Is their a right wrong way to install the rear coils? I installed them w/ the wound up end facing upright. I watched a rovers north tutorial video, that's how he installed them.

You dont think the suspension is in "upside" down and has started to sag after a week of driving. Do you?

If you can get away with 1/2" worth of extra lift, instead of buying spacers consider installing a set of D1 coil seats for around $16 a piece.

No, you installed correctly. It would not change the height either way. Only the fronts can truly be installed incorrectly.

Thanks guys. Any reasons why I shouldn't run 1" spacers?

Instead of running spacers or spring isolators buy as set of D1 perch plates, or as Disco mike called them coil seats. You can get them from most of the online parts shops. They will give you a wee bit over 3/4 inch height change from the current setup while still giving you the needed spring seat.

I would prefer to use that method. Is that the only difference between the D1 and D2 seats; the height?

Is there a way I can tell of I already have D1 spring seats? Can anyone provide measurements for borh D1 and D2 seats?

The previous owner removed the SLS and added an OME lift. I assume the seats had to replaced to fit the coils.

I'd hate to purchase D1 spring seats only to find out I already have them.

One more thing. Any benefit to running a rubber isolator on the both side of the coil. I have them top side. Any bene's running them between the spring and xoil seat?

Will I need additional hardware to install the D1 seats? Or will the D2 hardware work?

If you bought a kit, it would have only included the D2 seats. There are no special tools requires other then a socket set.
