So, tell me how the front should be installed please?

The front spring has an extended coil on the bottom that almost screws down to the mount, it's very obvious when you look at the bottom spring mount that it's not flat, and needs the coil to be placed properly.

Just a follow up.

I installed the D1 plates. I gained a little over 3/4" in the rear. Im pleased with the new stance.

I did however end up snapping both driver side bolts that hold down the factory perch plates. Lucky, I had a good bit of threads showing, vice grips, and a little heat from the 'ol ox-actylene torch freed them right up without any effort.

Pics and measurements of new stance to follow.

can I assume by this post that if I use Terrafirma MD springs that the truck will not have the correct stance. What is the difference from stock? is the front higher or the rear lower than stock height?

This thread is not to imply that the the Terrafirma MD kit will not make your truck sit correctly.

This is just so happened to be the case for me. Individual results will vary.

However, I can say that the factory rear perch plates on the DII are shallower than the ones on the D 1.
By switching to D 1 the first place you gain 3 quarters of an inch which in my case improved the stance of my ride.

I believe Terrafirma also has a disclaimer stating that the DII may not the chief a full 2 inch lift unlike the D1 with their MD kit.

I think like 16 bucks per plate plus shipping. Check out AB for prices.

FYI

AB refers to them as: rear spring seats

So when switching to the D1 rear coil spring perch/seat you added the D1 spring retainers as well? My D2 does not have spring retainers on the OEM springs; should it? With the shorter raised area in the middle of the D1 perch that means there is not as much coil springs down around middle section of the perch, is this why the D1 had retainers, and is it recommended to use the retainer if you use the D1 perch?
