Default terrible loud noise when fan is on high

How screwed am i . My disco is a 2003 with 80,000 miles on it . When i put my heat on low the fan is ok but when i put it on high there is a very loud noise. is my fan motor shot and how difficult is it to replace and how much is it--thank for all your help and happy thanksgiving--Caleb

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me.
Here's what to do: Under the passenger side kick panel, locate fan, unplug fan wires, take three screws out and the fan will drop out easily. Clean out leaves and other junk in there. Thats whats possibly causing your buzzing sound. Also check the fan for play, it could be loose.

If that's not your problem and you think you need a new fan, check roverlandparts.com for a good used one. Hopefully its just some leaves stuck in there, thats very possible this time of year, and its a very easy fix.
