Default Yes to all advice.

Only at member level here, but all the advice from these “senior” members is spot on. Keep your coolant system working with proper fluid and levels, monitor it closely with a scan gage in your truck, and proper Maintenence is a must. Find a reputable independent shop in your area and always ask questions/advice from this group. Had my D2 for 13 years and this group has been a lifesaver. 168K later, same truck and running fine!

There's an older couple a couple blocks from me with a garage-kept, one-owner '04 DII that has ... wait for it ... ~75,000 miles on the clock.

They're nowhere near ready to sell it, but they know, without a doubt, that I pray when the day comes they'll let me know.

I've used my Hawkeye to read codes for them a few times. I did that because I genuinely like to help people when I can, but if that helps grease the skids ... HELL YEAH!

Looks like you got a good one. Download the RAVE manual. Preventive maintenance prevents corrective maintenance!
