Hello Brandon, Is the Nanocom available? I'm interested in renting it so I can do a couple of things with it. I need to program a new fob and troubleshoot a SRS light I have had on since I bought it.

It is indeed! Another forum member just wrapped up with it and it should be arriving tomorrow morning. I can get it out to you tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. When/if ever you're interested in it, go ahead and fill out the google form and I'll get everything over to you.

Ok thanks, I’m still waiting on my new fob to arrive in the mail so if you don’t mind I’ll reach out when I have it. Thanks!

Default Like to Borrow Nanocom

Sixpack577, I’m in VB and would like to see logistics of using your Nanocom, if it applies to my 1997 Disco 1.

I have a D2, and don't know if and what a Nanocom could do on a D1.
I am also 4 1/2 hours west of Va Beach.

Default Checking if D2 Nanocom works on D1

Thanks Sixpack, I will check now with Blackbox Nanocom and see if they recommend the D2 Nanocom for both series. Might be a second generation revision thing, I hope 🙏

Discovery 1s use an engine management system called GEMS, D2s for the most part use Motoronic (Bosch). The nanocom won't work at all across the models, but even moreso since the majority of D2 Nanocoms will be ordered for Motronic motors, not GEMS.

I just received the following reply from Nanocom

Discovery 1 is not covered by Nanocom Evolution.

So, I have a large Discovery 1 as a paperweight?

Any thoughts, ways around this? I have seen a jumper to bypass the Spider advertised on eBay, but other than that I am looking at jumpering around these Immobilizer and Theft boxes. Inputs?
