Default Thinking of being cheeky on a front grille

2000 D2 sometimes parks next to my 04. Don't see it everyday.

Anyway. It's got a rather tatty front grille and lamp protectors. I'm thinking of sticking a note on the window offering cash for it.

Whaddya reckon, $200?

Phenomenally bad photo. Only ever see it at night.

I'd give it a coat of rattle can and a bit of loving.

Default fit

When I was looking for a brush guard for mine some said the early discovery ones do not fit the later models.

I never tried.

You could just unbolt and see if they notice.

^^

$100 would be a more realistic offer, I agree.

I don't think it will fit.

Saw it daylight today and underneath his 2000 there are mounting brackets which look factory.

Here is where someone has hacked through the bumper. The bits going through there are bolted by two bolts each side onto a very sturdy looking thing that mine doesn't have.

In fact I don't see on my 04 where a brush guard would fit at all.

And it in far worse condition than I thought. I'd be offering him 50-75. Tons of work to do to make it any way decent. Bits of metal totally gone through rust.
