Default Thinking Zip ties to mount my new 8.5mm magnecor wires...thoughts?

think this will be fine or heat will be a problem. Ive used zip ties all over engine bays before but not that close to the block and manifold

Why not use the original wire holders? The 8mm will fit in them it just takes a little more force than the smaller 7mm that the truck came with.

I missed that they were 8.5mm. Where did you find 8.5mm wires? I used 8mm Magnecor wires on my 97 and loved them.

I've got the 8mm Magnecors as well and I just ziptied them to the original wire holders. Works great just don't let them get too close to the manifold!

the 8.5's are too big and dont fit in the stock holders, i would use small hose clips instead of zip ties to prevent possible melting.

Default good call

i think ill zip tie up for the morning and stop by the plumbing section... then screw the clamps into the original mounting points before bundling and locking it all down.... thanks for the tip
