Default Thoughts on seafoam?

Just picked up a bottle. Was going to do half can in crankcase and half can in gas tank. Thoughts on this? Anyone use it on their D2?

In the crank case it does about the same as half a bottle of ATF which is just clean out gunk relatively well, but I'd only leave it in there about 500 miles then change your oil and filter. In the gas, I've never noticed much of a difference but I still think it helps clean things out a little.

Excuse my ignorance, but WTF is seafoam? is it another one of these 'snake oil' cure all fixes you see advertised?

More than likey, yes.

IMO. Basically, it's just a detergent rich solvent and even that's debatable.

Never seen any success stories. Only destroyed MAFs and codes on codes and codes.
