Default Thread size for Diff plugs?

Does anyone know the thread size for the plastic differential plugs? I know that Expedition Exchange and also Lucky8 sell metal replacements but I have an uncle who runs a machine shop in Detroit who owes me a favor.

I measured mine, it is .820 Diam. over the threads. It looks to be a 21mm thread. I don't know the Pitch. I don't have a pitch gauge at home. The tread length is .700, the flange diam. is 1.312 x .230 thick. The socket size is 13/16. It looks like an odd size thread.

1/2" BSPP thread with .39" deep threads. The ones I have also have an o-ring recessed in a groove so it doesn't squish out.

Thats a thread you don't see everyday, or at least I don't. Heres some more information on 1/2" BSPP Threads.

Use the right thread and you don't need tape.

Good point but paybacks are hell as they say! And I figured that with the recession he may have some machinists that need to stay busy!
