In the time you've spent NOT doing Option B, it could of been done by now
Its the obvious fix that will work to resolve that problem - why not dedicate an hour and do that first, clear the codes and go from there?
Best 4X4 last comment is great advice..........
Fallstaff,
Yes that is the ones I dealt with on the passenger side and drivers side, once done that cleared my random ground fault codes.
But option B fixed my 3 amigos.

Sigh. Because nothing is easy.
Anyone know where to get those 3m butt splice whatsits in Toronto. The 3m listed dealer had no idea what I was on about. Offered to order me something that costs $70 a pop...

Butt connectors can be purchased at any hardware or auto parts store.
Granted I'm not in CAN but these are very common items you should be able to find just about anywhere. Walmart sorta stores included.
Probably even the little hardware section in your grocery.
Oh. I thought we needed the fancy 3m ones because theyre waterproof (they contain some sort of resin).
Simple butt connectors are not a problem to find.
Thanks again.
To connect the 2 wire trailer plug to the Shuttle Valve switches you either solder it or use the butt splices. 3M heatshrink butt splice wise = generic ones are at most auto stores, harware stores, walmart, or harbor freight.
Finally found the time (and weather) to begin this project.
So far so good. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks. 2 1/2 hours to pull it apart.
The three SVS cover plate screws (little ones on the bottom) took an hour of that. It's hard to work blind upside down on 18 year old bolts. But a lot of patience and 4x the number of tools I started with and I got it.
I pulled the brake lines out of the clamps on the bulkheads and most of the little plastic tabs snapped off. I'm hoping that won't cause future regrets. Seemed to be unavoidable.
