Default Three Amigos + Parking Brake Quandary

Context;
I made a major league rookie mistake. I replaced both front wheel bearings and ABS sensors a three weeks ago; great project - most useful video was
; accurate torque specs in the video. Two weeks ago the infamous 'Three Amigos' + Parking Brake lights came on. I had left the ABS sensor too high and when right hand turns where made it rubbed on the wheel rim and wore through down to the wiring. I assumed that was the reason for the 'Three Amigos'. Last week I replaced the whole ABS sensor following the
video; Jim needs to add more Doug details. I cleared the codes, disconnected the battery, drove it and repeated the process. The lights are still on. I have read the 'Three Amigos' threads and checked everything mentioned.

Questions;
1) When you wire in the new ABS sensor lines, does it matter which wire goes to which pin; pin 4 & 5 on the wabco ecu plug? Both original wires were green and the new senor wires were black and white?
2) Is there more to resetting the 'Three Amigos' lights?; driving, code clear, battery disconnect for 15 minutes, code clear again
3) What else should I be looking at or testing?

Have you had the ABS codes read to confirm there's not another fault triggering the lights?

Yes. The P1590 code is there each time. There are no other codes showing up.

P1590 is too vague -- that's a general code. You need to use a reader that will pull the codes from the SLABS module that gives you more specific guidance as to the exact problem.

That's not an ABS code. It's actually an engine mgmt code that is always triggered whenever an ABS fault is detected. Generic OBDII code readers don't read ABS codes.

So far as I know, none of the devices that the auto parts chains use to diagnose faults in customers' vehicles read ABS (or transmission or SRS) codes for Land Rovers or any other makes. (All - If that's incorrect please chime in.)

You'll see on this forum that the mac-daddy DIYer device for the DII is the Nanocom, but they're pricey. If you search this forum you can find recommendations for diagnostic tools you can buy for ~$100 that will read ABS and other codes. Two brands I know are mentioned often are Foxwell and Autel.

thank you. i will start my search for a new used scanner. i have been using a bluedriver wireless reader to this point.

The iCarsoft LRII will also read the SLABS codes and is not too expensive.

I got exactly that two times when off-roading. ABS code reader said ABS signal on one of the wheel lost 18 times or something like this. First time it was persistent it needed a reset with an ABS code tool (I have a nanocom). Second time it went away by itself after sitting overnight. Yeah right, you need an ABS code tool, not a normal code reader. Just resetting the P1590 does nothing.

I have an ABS Amigo I'd be willing to let you borrow. You'd pay shipping both ways, and put down a deposit ($225) to cover its value. I would, of course, return the deposit when I get the item returned to me in good condition. It can ship in a padded envelope.

The ABS Amigo is a single-purpose tool. Check out the product link below. All it does is read and clear DII ABS codes. You plug it in to the OBDII port and it downloads and clears the ABS codes. You then connect the Amigo to a computer via a USB cable and read the codes in a TXT file.
