Yes Service Engine Soon Light is on, came on about 48 hours after new wires (Magnecore 8mm) and new plugs (Bosch +4) were installed. Coil pack was changed about a year ago. The car has 105, 500 miles on it.

Check and make sure that your plug wires are seated correctly.
A throttle body cleaning will help the truck idle smoother but will not clean anything other than the t-body.
A induction cleaning is another story.

What exactly is an induction cleaning, is it the Seafoam treatment?

A induction cleaning is sucking a can of SeaFoam though the PCV hose and removing carbon build up from the intake valves and piston tops.
If you are not sure how to do it there are a million threads on it, if you can find clear enough instructions then start a new tread and we will be more than glad to help you.

Before asking lots of question, do what you should have already done and get your codes read. There is no way we can help without those 4 digit fault code numbers.

Oh I already had the codes read, and it was showing a misfire on cylinder 6 and cylinder 3. I posted a thread about this earlier and most people had said ignition pack, but this was replaced in the last year, so I was looking for other possible solutions, that why I wanted to try the throttle and induction cleaning.

Just did the throttle body and the induction cleaning thanx to Spike and Mike my Disco is riding like a dream. It was a bit rough before but now its pure heaven and the gas pedal is more responsive. I live in a posh town and i just tore *** down the main street and you should have seen all the faces of people in their ranges and bmws just backing away from me thinking my truck was on fire or something... it was great.

As far as the actual work it was dead easy with the instructions, however i did screw up one thing. I dropped the rubber nipple on the small vacuum intake. Couldn't find it and had to go down to LR dealer and buy one. Mine was kind of dirty and nasty anyways but if you need it, its part LKD000020 and it costs $1.31 at my dealer.

I threw some codes but i read on here that was normal. I threw some misfires in 3 of the pistons and one other. I cleared them and am good to go now.

Thanx again and I'm excited to have the drive shaft U joints done on Monday.
