tie rod ends
my steering is on the loose side and my ball joints look like they have had it. I noticed that the AB ones don't have grease fittings. I can get them from advance cheaper, with the fittings. I was wondering is there a reason for the ab ones not having them, like the fact they might get broke off on rocks and what not offroading? If this is the case how do you grease them?
are the tie rods the cause of the looseness or not.
steering looseness has many factors. Don't assume a bad looking tie rod is the problem. Could be wheelbearings loose or need a repacking or even the swivel ball bearing loose and not tight.

I'm pretty sure they are bad, I wouldn't put money on the fact they are the only problem, but when I get them replaced i can go from there. do you think the little grease nipples will get snapped off offroad?
I've been using TRE's with zerks on them for over 35 years and never broken one off. That said, anything is possible.

Hey guys, I just bought left & right tie rod ends for my 94 Land Rover discovery for under $25.00!! I was really amazed. I recently installed them and I cannot be happier. If any one else is having problems with their tie rod/tie rod ends visit qeautoparts.com; I got a great deal from a guy named Javier. I bought both tie rod ends plus the rear ball joints and I got a huge discount. Try it out guys. I recommend it. good bye
Ball joint (there's an upper and lower)

Tie Rod end

If you have a 94, you only have tie rod ends on the steering. What you linked to at Advance are ball joints.
The only ball joint on a D1 are on the rear A-frame (#1 in the illustration below)
