Off subject...but do you have any pics of your disco? From your vids...she looks very clean!
Got some in the photogallery..I need to get a little more organized and get some trail pics up. She's a dirty b$#*tch. It was nearly grey when I got it. The only clean spot was a footprint on the hood..

Here's another one to aspire to. It sounds sooooo sweet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z87g5yJitvI&NR=1

It will not effect gas mileage at all.
All it does really is damper the air/sound coming out the tail pipe, when you cut it off it just lets the air flow right out. If you go to "how things work" on google you can see how the resonator functions.
On some cars it makes them preform better (no back pressure), but for a rover it just makes for a nicer sound.
There really isnt a negative effect that could come from cutting it off as far as I know.

If you do this, extend the pipe so it exits on the side. Do not under any circumstances leave an exhaust exit below the vehicle. People die when they do this, entire families have been killed recently because they had an exhaust leak under the vehicle, drove into deep snow and kept the vehicle running filling the inside with carbon monoxide. Make sure it exits the underside of the vehicle properly. The left quarter panel is a good place to do this.

Sounds great. I left mine under the truck because I have seen people who have backed up onto things and bent the pipe down. Pinch a pipe and you are stranded unless you can cut it off. I don't plan on driving into deep snw, getting stuck and leaving the truck running.

Good thing to look out for, though.

WOW! Yeah I need to know what kind of exhaustset upthat is?!Sounds really good with a manual trans. I thinkit must be running headers for it to sound that good. Looks like it runs good too, seems like it accelerates very responsively.
