Timing Chain

Default Timing Chain

Timing Chain is tight on one side and slightly loose on the opposite side, is that normal or is the whole chain supposed to be tight? I've tried three different chains and 2 different sets of cam & crank gears with the same result.

Mine was the same. Both the old and new one. I would say its normal.

Yes, normal. It has to have some play...or it would wearout prematurely.

When you see, maybe a 1/4...3/8's of an inch movement on both sides...she's toast.
