Default Tips for removing the rear O2 Sensors

Hey guys so I got O2 codes last week and decided to replace all of the O2 sensors.

The front two came off without much trouble. But the back 2 are being a complete pain in the ***. I'm talking about the electrical connectors. Not removing the sensor from the exhaust.

I tried Wd-40. I'm literally pushing on the button as hard as I can and when I pull on the connection it doesn't budge. I need to get this done tonight.

I've replaced the O2 sensors before and I don't remember it being this hard. Of all the repairs I've done to my vehicle this is pissing me off the most. I just want to thank Land Rover for making an incredibly worthless and piece of crap mechanism, that is also inconveniently placed to make servicing a truly enjoyable experience.

But seriously what's the best way to do this?

I swear to god I'm not about to take my truck to a shop to replace a damn sensor. The son of a bitch is coming off.

Get some vice grips to hold the button tight and a pair of pliers to grip the wire below and just start kinda jerking on it. Not real hard, but just hard enough. Squirt dome PB Blaster up in there and let it sit first. Use electrical contact cleaner afterward to get the PB off.

x2 on this, clamp down the release button and then that will allow you to pull directly on both sides

the rear connector is holstered just like the front. you can release it from the stem to get a little more room, then squeeze and pull apart.
also you can cut the old sensor wire.....if it will get you at a better angle.

I had to disconnect my propshaft to get my arm up in there and I cut the wires and had no issues. BUT I did the back ones first because they seemed easier and I still need to do the fronts. Any tips for the front connectors?

the fronts you can reach in from the top and unplug, just open the hood all the way.
if you have a H02 crows foot install it on the top of the sensor, then use a 6 inch extension to drop the rachet below the pipe were you have plenty of leverage.
