my home audio unit has a similar function. I don't know how sophisticated the pioneer auto version is, but the key to getting mine to tune well was to get the microphone to basically dangle where my head would be on the couch.

Glad to hear it! Also, that's a super neat function. I'd love to see how well it works, though likely won't be buying another head unit for some time. Maybe I can talk a friend into one and try theirs...

 

I want to upgrade my audio system in my new to me 2011 supercharged range rover, with the upgraded sound system (19 speakers). In my experience, the speakers in most cars are garbage, but before i start tearing things apart, i wondered if there was a list of what is in there now? It sounds decent, but not even in the same galaxy as what i did to my bmw 5 series, where i ripped everything out, and started from scratch, and it is amazing. Might any of you be able to help me?
