Tire recommendations for daily driver Disco II

I was steered into a set of Sumitomo Touring LX from a local tire dealer that get many of their tires from tire rack and from Sumitomo and Hankook dealers. I cannot say enough about the Sumitomo's, the company itself is an up and coming manufacturer from what I am told and researched them. The ride is outrageously smooth, switched over from a set of Nitto's that the Disco came fitted with from Florida, did not like the ride from the Nitto's at all, just my impression, they were loud and certainly not the smooth feel I was expecting. Off road the Sumitomo's have done very well in the snow. I have recently had to basically plow through 2 feet of snow for about 50 yards to get out of my driveway and into a snow covered corn field, no problem at all. Hankook is another quality tire for these rigs. The nice thing about either brand is they are usually $50-$100 cheaper/tire than any of the big 5 you will look at....

My Exprience with Recent Tire Upgrade
Just wanted to put my two cents in for future upgraders.
I don't off road but wanted a more aggressive look with stock height. I recently upgraded my 04 Disco2 to Goodyear Duratrac 265/65 18 Tires. First the Tires, I'm very happy with their aggressive look, transforms the truck and tire noise is minimal which is surprising. After reading through several posts it sounded like this was a popular size with no lift. With this size tire I only get some rubbing at full lock and had to remove the front mud flaps from my running boards. If I had to do over, just for looks in my opinion, I would probably reduce the sidewall height. 265/55 - 50/18. Again, just what my eye is seeing. I plan to do a 1" lift which will give me the look I want and allow me to re-install the front mud flaps.

I ran the terra grapplers for a long time. Great tires in all the conditions I tried them in. Only reason I don't have them now is because they were kinda small (stock size). Sold them to a buddy with an S10 and I got a used set of Coopers that were larger.

For everyday driving, with the ability to go off road or deal with moderate mountain snow if you go on a trip, Hankook DynaPro ATm.
I've had them on my DII for a few years, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their performance.

Right now I have Hankook Ventus AS 255/65R16 109H all around on NATO rims with a 2" lift and no rubbing or sound issues.
I'm thinking of getting newer tires maybe Nitto Terra Grappler 265/70 or 265/75. I'm not offroading yet, but this is my every day ride for now.

Anyone have good tire recommendations for me? I know these babies are significantly heavier than the Jeeps I'm used to, so not exactly sure what tires to look at. We live in Ventura, CA, so Southern California driving most of the time. The Bridgestones that came on this Rover are about done...
Not sure I'm impressed with the selection of 255/55r18 tires that show up on various online outlets, so are there any other close sizes I should consider? Then again, I'm not used to shopping for tires on 18" rims.
Two that might work are the BFG KO2 and Nitto Terra Grappler G2. Wish Cooper made the A/T3 in this size. Not sure what road noise will be like with those two, though.
Unfortunately, nearly all driving will probably be done on pavement. We live about 6 miles from the office, and most days will be just there and back. I will tow the 1946 ****** CJ2A sometimes, and hope to cruise the occasional dirt road in it when I get a chance (not often enough!). Any real offroading is saved for the Jeep for now, though.
I would love low road noise and anything that will help the MPG, of course, but still want something beefy enough to feel like I can turn on a dirt road if I want to, at least a few times per year!
