Default Tire Size

So I know the question has probably been asked, but I have a stock Disco 2, no lift, and 16 inch rims, can I fit 265/70R16s? What about 255/70 R16s?

Thanks,

I have 265/70/16 on a stock D1, they are fine except the FL tire just barely, barely, rubs on the inside bar if i turn the wheel all the way to the left. a non-issue so far. but Can NOT go any bit larger without adjusting your steering and trimming/removing front bumper finisher

To answer your question, "NO", you can't run a 265 on a stock suspension with out causing rubbing and in some cases, fender and front bumper damage. Either go for a lift or try a 245/75/16 which is still a good size tire, it fits and looks good.

I second Mike's reply.....I was running 245/75 16's on stock suspension (until yesterday) and it was perfect. No rubbing, but just cleared everything. Any bigger and it rubs.
