what is the largest tire size i can put on a stock 96 disco

I have 245/70-16's on my 96 Disco. Anything larger my rub since you've got a stock setup.

Just for the sake of more numbers....I have 255/65/16 on my 97 disco, basically the same ratio as stock 235/70/16, but the are just about 29" across, 31" would be prettttttty maxed out!

I have 245/75-16's and you have to trim the inside of the rear
fenders. No one can tell just me.
