Just ordered some 285/75/16 TreadWright Guard Dogs. They are backed up 2 weeks in that size. Willing to wait after getting the price & reading the reviews.

I ordered 5. Came to $656.00 including delivery. I have OME 751F/763R springs 60024F/60025R shocks. I just can't bring myself to get anything smaller. I know there are plenty of guys running the same set up. I already replaced the front prop shaft and I know there is talk out there about having to regear with larger tires, but I also hear 285s are ok to run. I just can't fully buy that 1" will destroy your rig.

I just installed my RTE 2 inch lift with OME Nitrocharger Shocks last weekend and Sunday I mounted my TreadWright Guard dogs with BF casings size 285/75/16 and they were tight. I actually had to cut a little before they could bring it off the lift at Walmart. No biggy I just had to make only left turns for two blocks to my house. After trimming the fog lights off and some of the Rocker cover I am good to go. They look awesome and I am glad I didn't go with the 165/75/16's I definitly would have kicked myself.

As far as the drive goes they are smooth have a little humming sound but not too bad. It is my daily driver and so far I haven't really noticed a drop of power in the low end with the 285/75/16 size. However, I did notice it a little when going up hills on the express way. If you have any questions let me know.... It definitly looks like a capable truck now...just my 2 cents

Oh and the cost for the tires were 614 shipped to my door in denver for five tires. They also told me it would be two weeks but they came earlier than that. Tread Wright is awesome...

That is good news. I am very anxious to get them. Did you get the Kedge grip for 616? I got the Kedge grip and it was 656 also shipping to Denver. Also, what did it cost to have them mounted @ Wal-Mart?

i went with the 265/75's. they said it would arrive in about 1-2 weeks. i got the BFG bases as well. I trimmed my front bumper already. I didnt go with the 285 just because I can't risk doing damage to the drive line, money is tight right now. I could see 305's in my future if i get money together to regear and get some HD shafts.
