Alright. Well, I think I've put off long enough treading into this forsaken topic of "tires". With that said, I am looking at either the Toyo Open Country AT. or the Grabber AT. someone writing a review on the Grabber AT said they had a 70mile per tank reduction in their gas millage. Any thoughts about the reduction.
Currently, I have 255/65/16 would going to a 245/75/16 be taller or shorter? I can't remember how tire sizes go! Wouldn't mind getting as much lift from the tires without having to change any of the suspension right now. No money for that mod!..
I'll be moving to where snow, and lots of it, will be a factor.
Thanks for the input in advanced.

I went with p-metric GY Wrangler silent armors, size 255/70 16. Have Sears match treadepot.com price with shipping, pay tax, and get lifetime balance and rotate for ~$715.00, plus a possible $40.00 rebate (pending).
Same footprint, slightly larger diameter (30.1" on my 2" OME lift), and quite affordable compared to some others.
Just my $0.02.

I have the General Grabber A/t2 and saw zero decrease in MPG or miles per tank. They are a great tire on and off road. They are quiet, durable, and aggressive looking. Make sure for the reviews you are reading about the A/t2 not the A/t. The original A/t did not go over as well as the A/t2. In fact, the A/t2 was really hard to get when it first came out because demand was so high. They are a great value as well.
I'll say this, for as long as the A/t2 is made, thats the tire i'll be putting on my Disco.
