Default Toe in for alignment

How do folks have their alignment set up on their rovers? Spec at the alignment shops is actually a toe out set up, which makes the steering more twitchy... especially on a shorter wheel base like the Disco... I recently got mine redone, and they were able to get it to be less toed-out, but still within the spec of the machine. ( they have to go by that).

Wanted to see what others did and how they had their suspension set up. I'd like mine to be a bit more stable and not get sucked into groves on the road, etc. A big part of that is the toe, as well as caster angle. You can't adjust caster on the Disco 2, so Toe in is all that's left.

Thanks

J

It is a toe setting only along with recentering the steering wheel.
The castor can go off when the vehicle is lifted which will cause it to search while driving down the road.

Mike, do you have your tires "toed - in", or "toed - out"?

Agree on the issues with lift causing wandering due to change in castor...

My truck was aligned around 100,000 miles ago, not sure if in or out but I rotate my tire every 25,000 miles and have never shown any wear.
Why are you concerned about the alignment.

because, Toed out causes the cars to wander a bit more than being toed in.... and I want to fact check Les Schwab that they have their data correct with regards to the Disco being toed out, vs. Toed in...

Call 2 different alignment shops and see what the toe setting is, that should answer your question.
