Was told that the Texas Refineries Closing due to IKE
I was told that a person that works at a 7-11 that they are going up
.30 cents a gal tonight here in Dallas Tx.
I hope not ,, last week we had more than a few people from
New Orleans and the gas never went up.

We got a Jump here too. Funny thing, though. Gas dropped to $3.15 in Norman on Friday night in prep for the game.... Now it is $345 in Tulsa.
My aunt lives in LaPort TX, about 20 miles up the coast from Galveston. They are on their way to my house right now. They said they are evacuating most of Galveston. All you see down there off the coast is offshore rigs....

I shouldn't say this considering I work in the oilfield but the oil companies will use any excuse to raise gas prices. There is absolutely no reason that shutting down one refinery should effect gas prices all over the country.

Yes they are ripping us off. That is one of the reasons we need to keep oil people out of the White...well, not here on the forum.

I have not seen the price of a barrel of oil this afternoon but at 6am it was $101..
I bet that the stock market will run it up.
OPEC met and will decrease output by 500,000 barrels a day this two days ago and oil
still dropped.
It makes no sense.

We havent built a new refinery since 1975 thanks to some eveormentalist and politicains. so we are ridding on the demand of oil. yes were getting "PW3ND".

Gas has gone up 5 to 15 cents a gal here so far.
What I like is all the Green people want plug in electric cars,,
How is that good when in the summers we have brown outs with
power plants not keeping up.
With most of the electric coming from coal or from Nuke power,
now thats green.
In Texas we are now number one in wind power in the US, the windmills
are starting to look like the new oil pump jacks in west Texas.
With IKE on its way we may have fuel for the windmills.
What I like is all the Green people want plug in electric cars,,
