All I know is I have a bumper when I get home, others not so much. I took this picture last year and it made me realize how close I was.

Looks like loads a room to me.........this is how close you can get !! im on 18"s with stock suspension to

To quote a famous person, "go as slow as possible and as fast as necessary off road."

These trucks will take an incredible amount of abuse off road and keep going. I never had my Rover leave me wondering if it would get me home.

UP I'm gonna make an audio file of your engine, throw it on cd and blast it in my Disco at all times. Diesel is definitely superior.

The Disco is built to go through trails. Would you buy a sports car and not put the pedal to the metal? If you aren't going to use your Rover for what it is built for you might as well get a van. Then you will have all the room and get better gas mileage.

They're Bilsteins, I think maybe the 7000 series or whatever their high end ones are. You can read the whole build (and all of their builds) here http://eastcoastrover.com/168.html

All of the things that you have replaced would not have been caused by off roading or that the vehicle cannot take abuse. The springs sound a little weird to me why they needed to be replaced and why only replace each only on one side. The 60K service, was that done just for convenience or did it not run because it needed the service. The brakes could be your driving style, who knows.

I say go wheeling in it, you will have body damage, more service of diffs and hubs and maybe a broken part if you hammer it. Otherwise it will do you just fine. Maybe it is acting up becasue you are holding it back from what it was built for.
