I promise I have done a ton of research and cannot find an answer. Has anyone installed a touchscreen head unit in a Discovery 2 with the Harmon Kardon stereo which is NOT one if those swivel stereos (where the face plate is attached with a swivel)? If so, which stereo did you use?

If you did use a swivel stereo, which one did you use and how do you like it? Any pictures?

It need a head unit with balanced outputs because the HK power amp has balanced inputs. Otherwise you get issues with noise.

 

Pretty sure the 1.5 DIN Joying unit I have in mine is well documented in the https://landroverforums.com/forum/au...lectronics-10/ forum. Along with several others.

 

i’ve a pioneer sph evo64 radio. Works fine with steering wheel control and the hk amp.

The radio died, but got replaced under warrenty. I had no photo, so thought sharing a video how it looks would be nice

I’ve installed & use a pioneer NEX head unit, which is touch screen with Apple car play & mirroring.. it is not a swivel unit. The truck is has the HArmon Kardon system
