Back when the disco was my daily I towed with it regularly. A hand full of times over 7000 lbs, and that was with 32" and 33" tires. I had added a secondary trans cooler and had done some engine work, but it towed fine. It wasn't fast by any means, but it got the job done just fine.

As for trailer lights, I just had the cheapo walmart kit and spliced into the tail light wiring.

 

Alex_M, can you tell me about the transmission cooler? Overheating is one of my bigger fears and something this disco has had issues with in the past.
